Introductory remarks
About Krzysztof Jakubczak
I am Krzysztof Jakubczak, the CEO of Perspectiva Solutions Ltd, a company headquartered in Poland that I established to provide assistance to new ventures in terms of production capacities.
I hold a Master’s degree from the Institute of Optoelectronics at the Military University of Technology in Warsaw, as well as a Ph.D. from the Czech Technical University in Prague. I have gained valuable professional experience in various locations, including Stanford University in the United States, Laboratoire d’Optique Appliquée – LOA in France, the Korean Advanced Institute of Science and Technology – KAIST in South Korea, Desy Synchrotron in Hamburg, Germany, and Universidad de Salamanca in Spain, among others.
My technical expertise spans several areas, such as medical devices, lasers, optics, infrared technology, light detection, secondary sources, lithography, vacuum systems, spectroscopic methods, and defense. I have worked as both an R&D engineer and a manager in the fields of optoelectronics and IT, contributing to publicly funded R&D institutions as well as the industry. I am actively engaged in collaborations with LaserLab Europe, MIT Enterprise Forum Poland, the Polish Standardization Committee, investors, and technological innovators. In my previous endeavors, I have evaluated the commercial potential of over 3000 academic projects, facilitated the establishment of approximately 15 startups, and facilitated the licensing of technologies from academic institutions. Above all, I am deeply passionate about new technologies and strive to share my knowledge to contribute to the improvement of our world.
You may have the opportunity to meet me at various events, primarily in Poland, where I deliver short speeches on building businesses based on innovative projects. The majority of these events are free, and you are always welcome to attend. I regularly share information about these events on Facebook. I hope to have the chance to meet you someday. In the meantime, feel free to reach out to me through social media.
Motivation behind Running Krzysztof Jakubczak Blog
To begin, let’s delve into some statistics: globally, it has been reported that only around 5% of new projects culminate in successful commercial products. This is indeed disheartening. There are numerous reasons contributing to such abysmally low success rates, and it is possible to identify them. The purpose of this blog, in essence, is to explore some of the crucial aspects involved in formulating a comprehensive strategy for establishing a business based on a new and innovative project. By sharing my experiences, I aim to help you all avoid making certain detrimental missteps.
Krzysztof Jakubczak – My audience
This blog caters to individuals across the spectrum who are contemplating launching projects focused on innovative products. It may appeal to those involved in research and development, corporate strategic departments within well-established organizations, as well as startups comprised of enthusiastic and ambitious young professionals.
Disclosure
I am writing this blog with the best of intentions. I am aware that my thoughts and ideas may have an impact on your decisions, but I cannot guarantee that you will achieve success in your business endeavors. Therefore, please refrain from complaining if you encounter failures along the way. Remember, it’s okay to fail! 🙂
The style
English is not my native language. However, I have made the decision to make this blog bilingual, in both English and Polish, in order to reach not only people in my own country but also hopefully those in other parts of the world. I will do my utmost to use proper English in my blog, but I will not have it edited by third parties. I prefer to keep the publishing process smooth and focus on the content itself. So, if you come across any mistakes or misspellings, I apologize in advance. I hope they won’t be distracting enough to hinder your focus on the main points. Thank you for your understanding.
Furthermore, I will use a very informal language in this blog to establish a better connection with you. I hope you don’t mind.
Best regards!
